kerja?

n so i have completed my 4 weeks of training and 8 weeks to go. so far i haven't use any of what i have learn in my 3 and a half year classes in uia. n seriously working is so different than uia life. n i do have actually learned alot. n seriously alot. but there are still so many things to learn. that i dont think the 8 weeks would be enough.

one of the good things that i have learned is that, since i could say working in my dad working environment, i now know what actually my dad is working on. what my dad actually do to feed us his children. how many drawing that he need to go through. but the thing not so good in working in a place where nearly everybody know my dad is that. if i feel like asking, they would say ur dad is better in doing this things. n now i do feel like working with my dad. but at the same time i dont want to work with my dad. he is so garang sometimes..

anyway, we live in this world once. n i one to maximize my time in technip. there are so so much things to learn as material engineer. so far my progress is only i understand the document. but not that good that i can write such document. khadijah boleh. go go. i can do it

btw, lately asik tetido je time tazkirah zuhor. huhu

1st day of work

my first day of work!! intern je pon. haha. but still excited.

things that i have done today. tegur this one guy. i thought he is also n intern like me. but turn out to be a new recruit. BUT. when do i know he is not an intern like me but a new recruit?
1. all of us. new employee n intern need to go to this one room for briefing.
2. before briefing start everyone got two file. with many forms in it. curious to know what is inside. one for the company record n another one is for them. kenapa aku tak dapat apa2 file pon?
3. briefing start. yada2. then miss vicky (the person who gives brief intro on the company) wants all of us to introduce ourselves. this is the time i got to know that i am the only intern.
then she give short tour. only after that i got to sign my first contract. haha. nak bangga jap. da besar la katekan. then one by one went to their designated department. y do i need to stay here. bosan kot dok sorg2. dan setelah tunggu lama. akhirnya ada gak orang yang sanggup kutip aku dari HR g deparment piping. intan nama dia. tetiba teringat kat ex-roommate.

nak cerita pasal kat department lak. sampai2 dapat pilih meja. hoho. best kot. tapi time nak decide dia cakap, "awak amik je la meja tu, dekat ngan supervisor". maka duduk la saya kat situ. oh. got this one list, need to get signature from all head in my department. ramai la pulak kenal ayahanda. ade tu kenal gak dengan diriku ini. aku je tak kenal diorg. bajet popular. hoho. pastu kena baca document. banyak pulak tu. ari ni sempat baca 2 file je. esok kena ar pulun baca lagi ntah berapa. baca yg relate je pon. yg cam tak relate lea skip. idea dari engineer kt situ. dia cakap yang penting sign lepas konon baca. kena baca suma files in 2 days.

oh, yang paling best arini. dapat access card. apa yang best sangat pon. tapi masa dapat tu memang agak excited ar. haha.

ni cara2 exercise. suma meja ade. sorry ar gambar tak jelas. phone kuno la katekan..

esok tuka meja. mungkin dapat supervisor baru. yang paling penting: esok dapat computer. yeah!! tapi tak dapat full internet connection ar. n i got my new email. something@there.com. (bukan email sebenar). n my new place will be next to my secretary. senarnya department general secretary. but still ok wat. arini dok keliling lelaki. nanti da pindah kat material dapat ar kawan pompuan sikit. ladies ar minority in the department.

dah2. tak lea cerita banyak2. adios..

productive me?

my fourth entry for today. giler ar aku... my post for this entry is a copy paste from here. with some editing.. hehe
Have you ever looked around at people whilst using public transport? It doesn’t matter where you turn, but you will either see someone reading a newspaper, listening to his mp3 player, filling out a crossword, or playing a game on his phone – almost everyone is doing something! ok, for reading or doing crossword is less likely to happen in Malaysia. but here we can see people sleeping or doing makeup.
We’ve all complained and continue to complain of a shortage of Baraka (blessing) inthe hours of the day, of cramped schedules, of family commitments and other things when justifying our lack of productivity. The slack times – the time interval between any two activities – do form a generous portion of your day when calculated! Try thinking of all the time spent sitting on the train, walking to the bus stop, waiting between classes, waiting for the kettle to boil, and so on and so forth.
We should try not to lose a single breath without investing in it; these intervals of time, if utilized wisely for worship and productivity, will bring benefit for our dunya and akhirah.
Even if your situation does not allow you to read, listen, or memorise anything – we can still harvest time for our akhirah with our mind and tongue by the remembrance of Allah. What prevents us from saying: Subhan Allah walhamdulillah, la ilaha il Allah, wAllahu Akbar.
Won’t we feel regret over a moment in this dunya in which we did not remember our Lord or utilize properly? ok I will try.. go go Khadijah can do it!!
so next is a story of one of the great Imams of this Ummah, Imam Ahmad bin Hanbal. His son, Abdullah, asked his father one day: “Abi when will we ever relax?” His father, one of the greatest revivers of the Sunnah and a role model for all Muslims, looked him in the eye and said: “With the first step we take into Jannah.” Ya Allah, what a beautiful response!
There are days that come to you and you’re tired, you just want to sleep and relax and “shut off” as they say. Those are the days in which you need to ask yourself a critical question: ‘Where am I going with life?’ If it’s towards Allah and for Allah, then regain your strength and continue your work, for Jannah is precious and must be sought. But if you look into your life and realise that it’s not towards Allah but towards Dunya, then your tiredness becomes a blessing, for it is a reminder that you need to change direction and renew your purpose in life.
Our problem today is not that we’re tired, our problem today is that we relax too much. We do everything so that we relax. We cheat, break promises, do not fulfill our vows, lie, take and give bribery, and so on. Why? So we can relax. We don’t stay up for Tahajjud or wake up for Fajr, we don’t fast, or go for Hajj and Umrah… all so we can relax. We don’t walk towards the Masjid or open the Book of Allah so we can understand it, all in the name of “I need to relax!”
diriku sedikit terasa dengan post sendiri. so khadijah do change! to my readers, let us also change. for the betterment of ourselves n the ummah as a whole..

ramainye la kawan saya ni nak kawin. jeles ke? ade la sket. haha. tapi kalo tengok aku yang masih perangai budak2 ni. jangan harap ar nak kawin esok. lusa mungkin bole la kot. haha. ok2. fokus.

aku sayang Malaysia!!

hectic week? not really. its just that doing thing at the very last minute and doing things that subordinate must do, but didnt do it the way we want it to be n we end up doing the things ourselves. subordinate seems harsh ya, so it is something that need to be done by my junior but the dont do it the way i want it to be. it goes with the saying, if u want to get things right u get to do it yourself. im not saying they didnt do their job at all. it is just that it is not the way it should be. or at least now the way i want it to be.

anyway, coming program is yokoso and outdoor training. 26th n 27th feb. we put it a bit late. technically should be in the middle of this sem, but purposely we schedule this way, to fit to karateka's planner. to fit to uia calender for booth uia main campus n foundation studies. but somehow, still go clashing with kibukai taournament (hope i spell it correctly). so some of the karateka already cant make it. really hope that all the things that should be done are done. n that things go as planned.

then,  onegaishimasu (hope that i also spell it correctly). this one suppose to together with IKCT, but then with some reason keep postponing the event. n finally was postponed to 5th march. (hope that there will be no more postponement of this program). i just want to tell the world that in UIA, if there is campus election, no program should take place. both inside n outside program. in malay term. "semua program harus dibekukan". yes student can only do nothing in uia other than going to classes. i dont know this is applicable to all university or only happen in uia.

next is ummatic week 2011. this is an every year program where uia citizens show where they come from. more to sharing of culture around the globe. uia is itself international having student around the globe. it is just that in my major (material engineering), i only met one not malaysian student. i refuse to call him international students cuz i think all of us are actually international students, the difference is just that are u local citizens or foreigner.

so, about this ummatic week. last thursday. i met one of my friend. he ask me to be the malaysian representative for this ummatic week. i thought he is just kidding. n so i refuse with reason im actually half malaysian. haha. but then, today, looking at two of my friend fb status. i feel like i need to be the malaysian represenative (thou i actually dont know what i need to do if i am one). so i ask him (my friend who is one of the ummatic week committee), whether it is still vacant or somebody already take it. n he said there are still no  malaysian representative. n so now. another job for me. but this one i share with my material friend. my msd asgn group to be exact. but seems like one of my senior seems to be interested in this so now it is 5 of us. if my ex-roomate agrees to be one of us, then it will be 6. so the things that we need to do so far is to think of how to decorate Malaysian booth so that to promote the true Malaysian identity. hehe. if u are uia student, malaysian n want to join me n contribute ur idea. u r most welcome.

n btw, this ummatic exhibition is on 2nd till 7th march, clash with onegaishimas, 5th march. but why i still take this job? one reason is that i just feel sad knowing Malaysia booth will be empty. thou im actually singapore citizens, but i was raised in Malaysia. this is the place i know what life is about. if there are somebody who want to be the malaysian representative, i will jsut leave it alone n just visit booth@ummatic exhibiton like what i did every year. but seems that nobody take it. so i feel responsible to take the place. but im not alone in this mission (mission do sound big, i know), but i have my close friend who are equally as busy like me with me. i not alone, n i do have supporter. u are also welcome to support me. but please dont say what i do is of no good n just bring trouble to myself.

both Tunisia n Egypt already make a big change in their country. this will not be a success without togetherness of its nation. n will not even start without an initiator. life is not easy as it looks. if we want a change in this world, we need to say it out loud. there will always somebody who will give u support. all u need is to search for this people who are willing to be with u no matter how big or small the wave. suddenly feel like going to the beach. hehe

seems that my writing is long enough. getting back to work..
all the best in all the good things that u do..

331: life change

when u grow older, u can see changes in life. student these days are just not the same with our time. and we also dont behave like our parents when they are of the same age

I was a driver yesterday. send sister to school early in the morning. then saw some students walking very relax like nothing happen, thou it should be assembly time. and I think it is 8.30am. if I was the emcee, assembly is already done. haha. miss the old days. anyway, I remember when I was in that age. 8.30am is when I already open the Quran, ready to have my memorization check by my ustazah. or sometimes, still in the assembly area being the emcee or just standing at the back of the line. my friends just love to see me infront cuz they know that I dont like assembly and if i were to be the emcee, it will be a really2 short one. i can shorten the assembly time like up to approximately 10 minutes and assembly time should be about 20 to 30 minutes. oh, n for monday suppose to be for 1 hour, but still i can shorten it to 15 minutes. haha. teruk perangai. or at the school gate, being a prefect, this is my fav spot to excuse myself from the assembly. and that time, sempat la nak baca buku ke, wat homework yg tak sempat siap, or hafal ayat baru sebab blom cukup quota. n still remember, they said min per day is 3 ayat or half page, n I am the one yg slalu hafal kurang. n if dah hafal lebih, will tasmi' the next day. to achieve the min quota. haha.

anyway, talking about students. last time if the bell rings, we are like cepat2 to go to class, or finish the meal or pape je la. today's student, it is just the bell ringing. we hate going to assembly, but still we go. and in class, we are like want to be the best. n they are like, bagi jela org lain buat. i really cant find the enthusiasm in their face..

how i know this things? my sister is now a teacher teaching form one (age 11 to 13), n me myself teach karate (age 9 to 16). they come to class, n go out. they seems like i dont want to know anything, all i care is to get pass. mane tak nyer, stance masih cam hampeh, bole pulak dia tanye bila nak dapat black belt. ish2. dulu, masa aku white tak berani nak tanye sensei camtu. n this also happen to my classmates n myself sometimes in uni life. dont want to understand, they just want to get things done.

knowledge is something to be seek and appreciated. now i know how difficult it is to be a teacher.

tudung
